I'm very happy to welcome you to Ayurveda's program based on the Chopra Health Certification Program.
My name is Lucy Rabin. I became interested in Ayurveda because for several years I have been treating and coaching towards a healthy lifestyle on the basis of naturopathy and various streams from the world of complementary and alternative medicine. Complementary and alternative medicine sees the person from a holistic perspective and I strive to expand my knowledge in these directions.
Ayurveda is one of the ancient healing medicines that can provide a variety of tools for creating a complete healthy lifestyle.
Expanded consciousness
The Deepak Chopra Health Program, developed by the Chopra Center founders, Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon, combines the principles of modern science with the ancient healing wisdom of Ayurveda.
Ayurveda aims to help us return to our natural state of health, balance and wholeness, explore how to develop a preventative lifestyle that takes into account age, seasons and climate and gain unparalleled important insights
– how to change your lifestyle for better health.
Using Ayurveda you can:
* Get you back in balance
* Create your own inner healing ability
* Create a natural change
In Ayurveda, health is not just the absence of disease, but is a state of expanded consciousness or awareness that opens us to greater well-being, creativity and joy.
What is Ayurveda? An all-inclusive (!) effective health system that emphasizes the symbiotic nature of our physical health and our emotions, tensions, and the state of our relationships.
In other words, Ayurveda is a powerful tool for healing our body, mind and spirit.
Ayurveda is therefore a life science, and it offers a rich perspective and practical tools for managing a long, healthy and happy life.

• Ayurveda is a medicine personally customized for your lifestyle
• It gives you the knowledge and tools to create a healthy and happy life while realizing your full human potential
• In order to be truly healthy, we can not only worry about our physical body – we must take care of our mental, physical, spiritual and environmental health so that we can experience a state of wholeness.
• Ayurveda focuses on the unique characteristics of the individual – how we each react to different foods, training programs and activities and other experiences
Ayurveda is Experiential, which means that the choices you make about your experiences change your body – including your choices about food, personal relationships, sensory experiences, sleep, work, social interactions and daily routine.
As you go through your experiences, your biology changes because your biology is the metabolism of the experience.
Through your daily lifestyle choices, you can optimize the way your genes behave, and help "boost" the genes that promote good health and "reject" the genes that promote disease, including genes for Alzheimer's, heart disease, and diabetes and many cancers.
As a practitioner of preventive medicine, I have found clear and supported answers from studies that Ayurveda offers tools and guidance to help you create a lifestyle that prevents these diseases and nurtures health.

Our unique body and mind type is expressed as our dosha constitution. There are three body-mind energies – or doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
Each dosha is derived from the five elements: space, air, fire, water and earth – and represents a unique blend of physical, emotional and mental characteristics inherent in each person.
Everyone has all three doshas – but the amount of each we were born with varies. The dosha blend is what makes up the individual dosha type of each person. We can say that this is the DNA of each of us as a human being.
By understanding your unique combination of these doshas and creating a lifestyle that keeps your doshas in balance, you will enjoy a healthier life. It helps you to make lifestyle decisions based on this understanding. When we are healthy, we feel focused, energetic and aware of possibilities. All we have to do is decide that we want to be on the path of a healthy lifestyle that suits us personally.
